As Office Manager I ensured the smooth running of the charity on a day-to-day basis. I managed the delivery of financial funding applications, streamlined and maintained office procedures, systems and processes, managed the office budget, managed policy documents, recruited and trained staff and maintained personnel development records. Delivered highly successful strategic communications and marketing plan, increasing visibility of the charity to new donors and new beneficiaries: Increased membership numbers and readership of previously print only newsletter through introduction of accessible digital and multi-lingual versions. Introduced online presence across social media and fundraising websites increasing visibility and income opportunities across wider demographic. As income and donors increased, I employed and trained an Assistant to manage her own projects and campaigns, along with two apprentices. In 2012, the charity changed it's name to The Somerville Foundation. I project managed the rebrand and introduced a new website and email system, enabling further successful income opportunities for the charity. This project was accomplished in an incredibly short time constraint, not favourably aided by a remote and busy board of trustees. Show less

In this role, I managed all stakeholder engagement and event organisation. I took over management of the charity's Annual Conference in 2008 and, through networking and building relationships and delivering strategic marketing activity, increased attendance year on year. Two years later, the 2010 London conference was pronounced 'the best conference ever' by our patient group and continued to impress year-on-year.
