In my role, I oversee the Creative Entrepreneurship Opportunities Program (CEO), which is Las Fotos Project's initial social enterprise. CEO creates economic independence and equity through pathways to professions in the photography/creative industry for teen girls from communities of color. We accomplish this goal by employing students as event and product photographers providing high-quality photography services to our clients. I am responsible for developing new client relationships and maintaining client partnerships. Additionally, I oversee students and mentors through the process of working with clients, my goal is to ensure CEO photographers are ready to begin their individual careers upon completing the program. I am also responsible for advancing the creative direction and implementing the expansion of Las Fotos Project's social enterprise services. Over the next year, we will launch an online print store for Las Fotos Project supporters to purchase their favorite artwork and we will open The Foto Studio. The Foto Studio is a full-service photography studio that will employ our CEO students as portrait and product photographers as well as host a membership service where local photographers can join our Las Fotos Project community in order to have a welcoming and creative space to work on their own personal projects.
