  MASScot; is a charity for melanoma skin cancer within Scotland. MASScot supports those with skin cancer and other skin related diseases by providing free counselling and therapy services for patients and also their careers. Despite the difficulties which the 2020 pandemic has ensured, I have liaised with several individuals remotely to help in the creation of online content regarding awareness and support of skin cancer, by using social media platforms such as Twitter and Instagram. I am currently working with these individuals to create a campaign which we have named as ‘Taps on’. This campaign aims to stop the stigma associated with Scottish summertime weather and Scottish residents dressing less and not protecting themselves from the sun. Being a social media conveyer has allowed me to develop skills related to political communication, leadership, teamwork and remaining up to date with relevant legislation and current issues. My role within this online platform is to promptly reply and advise new applicants on accommodation and academic life. Overcoming language barriers and helping students, while improving my customer service skills has been a rewarding experience, which has passed me vital skills which would be an asset to any office environment.   Catapult is an online app that allows flexible agency work in retail and catering. My role included promotion online to get people to apply and join catapult; it is a commission-based role for online advertising. As well as this, I host 'right to work sessions'; RTW. The responsibility of RTW included meeting future employees and ensuring the most suitable candidates are offered the job as well as obtaining and recording all legal documentation. Working within recruitment has given me an incredible opportunity to understand the hierarchy of business and improve my communication skills immensely.
