I enjoyed my time with Mayo Clinic. I was able to learn more about the institutional side of pharmacy. The tasks that drew my interest were compounding IV’s (hazardous and non-hazardous) and assisting with codes throughout the hospital. I enjoyed my time with Mayo Clinic. I started as an over night clerk. The store manager recognized my ability to learn new roles, he quickly promoted me to head of the photo department. After about 2 years, I then made a lateral move to the pharmacy as a technician. During that time I completed my training needed in order to test for PTCB and passed that exam. I continued to grow my knowledge in pharmacy and was seeking more. That is when I changed employment to Mayo Clinic. I started as an over night clerk.
