    • Nursing student, care assistant

I worked with a lot of different types of patients. Patients whom have just been to the hospital, but are not stable enough to go home, patients in the last stage of their lives, and patients who had an accident and temporarily can't take care of themselves or need to regain some strength before they move on to a rehabilitation facility. To take care of people with a broad background, has made me able to; adapt fast to changes, structure and manage my time, and look out for a broad variety of symptoms, communicate with different people with different resources and backgrounds, coordinate and communicate with coworkers, and meet the patients where they are at the given moment. Tasks: - Handling medicine - Observe vitals (TOKS) - Personal care - Handling healthcare aids (wheelchairs, lifts and other innovative healthcare equipment) - Making sure the patients had a good nutrition status - Having health related informative conversations with the patients Show less
