  My research interests are research and innovation policy in general and especially the role and effect of policy instruments aiming to transform universities and the role of scientific knowledge in society.The main themes in my PhD work concern the conditions of university research in the new era of governance. The ambition is to tell a story of change in modern universities focusing on change in the doing of research and research related activity in relation to research leadership. A central topic of my research revolves around to which extent universities are free to make choices regarding their daily management as well as formulate strategies for their further development on the one hand, and individual behavior in relation to institutions on the other.
