-Worked with the Southeastern Regional Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs (CYSHCN) Center as part of a statewide CYSHCN Network that provides assistance to families and agencies in finding potential resources and information in order to assist families in accessing medical, educational, and financial services in eight counties. -Chairperson of the Jefferson County Hispanic Committee and Washington County Hispanic Committee. Addressing barriers that Latino families who have children with special health care needs have within each county and implementing solutions in collaboration with school, medical, and social service committee members. -Developed and monitored the "Volunteer Interpreter Project" that implements native or high fluent Spanish speaking students to be used as interpreters for social service agencies. The project is in collaboration with UW-Parkside and the Racine County Birth to Three Program, UW-Whitewater and the Jefferson County Health Department, Carroll College and the Waukesha County Birth to Three Program, and UW-Milwaukee and the Center for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
