To my surprise, Heather urged that we also take the bags of used cups, bottles, and cans home for recycling. I had been ready to leave them there for others to recycle (I hoped). Thanks to Heather’s extraordinary gesture toward protecting the environment, I do more to recycle—even when it is easier to just forget about it and let someone else do it.
