I ran a project in the internal Information Security team for PwC that aims to ensure all of the applications owned and used by PwC comply with all Information Security Standards. This project was a follow on from previous work auditing the PwC Ireland suite of applications to understand where there might be gaps. This role required project management practice based on PRINCE2 principles, process mapping and process design, information security knowledge and understanding, application risk assessments, and stakeholder management across the lines of service in PwC. Throughout this project I developed a number of documents to support Information Security compliance, including detailed processes and procedures, guidelines for information owners, resources for information owners, and frequently asked questions in relation to information security services. In my first role with PwC, I was responsible for mapping the processes in the regulatory audit department of a major mail carrier. The team was going through significant change at the time, with voluntary redundancies in the offing so accurate maps that could be used to upskill and redeploy the team were essential. This project led to a follow on project of process improvement reviews and a digital feasibility study to understand how elements of the regulatory audit process could be automated. Following this I moved to work with the internal PwC Information Security team. The team needed to design a new audit approach for ensuring application compliance with with all information security and data protection policies and principles. I managed the project to gather all of the evidence required across a suite of over 130 applications to demonstrate compliance. I collated all of the data and developed a plan for remediating any failures or gaps in application security. Furthermore, I developed a new access review cycle for all PwC applications across all lines of service, reducing the burden on the information security department. Throughout my time at Associate 3 level in PwC, I coordinated all of the activities for the central team overseeing six individuals completing Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification. This included gathering all candidate materials, organising review sessions, reviewing candidate materials, mentoring, and reviewing training and mentoring with the vendor. Show less

I further developed more advanced Excel training on the use of graphs, conditional formatting, and data validation and delivered this to the same group a number of months into their training. I developed and delivered GDPR specific training to a small group of graduates. I developed and delivered training on the importance of self-directed learning and the EY tools available for this to the Advisory Graduate intake of 2018. I worked as a trainee consultant with EY, focused mainly on performance improvement within the financial services (FSO) sector. I had a number of different roles in my time with EY. Initially I worked as part of the PMO function for a multi-million euro IT transformation programme. My role was to take the resourcing data from projects completed in 2016 and model the resource demand for the programme in 2017 across the projects to be completed. This involved identifying an average resource spread across a project and then scaling that by phase, budget, and timeline. Within the same programme I moved role to be part of the PMO function for the central project within the programme, which managed the design and release of the new IT system. I became responsible for the monthly financial returns, managing an annual budget of approx. €15m and the resource demand for a multi-vendor team of over 150 resources. This role also included project governance, process mapping, and project planning. I developed a number of knowledge transfer documents, detailing roles and responsibilities on the team and summary work packages for the finance and governance team. I lead a number of knowledge transfer session to successfully hand my role and that of my manager to a new contractor who was taking over.My next role was in the customer communications work stream for a large scale regulatory implementation in a large Irish retail bank. My role included coordinating development and delivery of customer communications content ahead of a regulatory deadline and tracking updates to internal content across all customer facing areas of the organisation, both in systems and documentation. Further to this I was involved in third party contract reviews and papering of relationships to satisfy the same regulation, internal data protection training, and data flow mapping and records of processing recording.
