I have thoroughly enjoyed working with Heather over the past three years at Emory University Continuing Education. Her infectious smile, willingness to help, and dedication to all involved made her a valuable asset to her program. She was highly regarded among her peers, students and instructors as a "go-to" person that could get things done. She excelled at establishing strong relationships with her constituency and worked tirelessly to deliver the best program possible. I highly recommend Heather!

Program Coordinator
-
Apr 2013 - Dec 2016
As Program Coordinator, I planned all logistics and managed all operations for OLLI at Emory. In December 2015, I assisted in securing a second $1 million endowment from the Osher Foundation for the OLLI at Emory program! I entered every class into our system (50+ each session), Jenzabar Higher Reach. I worked closely with each instructor to assist them and answer questions pertaining to their course and other inquiries. I responded to emails and phone calls from current OLLI members and instructors, and perspective members. The program manager and I doubled the membership for our OLLI program in one year so I provided coordination and support to almost 1,400 members. I compiled all course information and edited the quarterly catalogs. I planned many events for the members of the program such as holiday lunches, volunteer recognition events and instructor trainings. I created an Instructor Manual so our instructors know policy and procedure for OLLI and for Emory. I helped train our instructors by creating an instructor orientation where they would be trained on the technology in our building and provide them with copies for their classes, information on using the instructor portal to monitor their own classes and more. I managed the volunteers and student workers for the program. I also participated in and facilitated committee meetings, organized the course proposals, kept all electronic files, and maintained order and daily function of the OLLI office.
