I had the pleasure of working with Heather at an elementary school and preschool in the Nebo School District. I entered this job as a new Speech-Language Pathologist and Heather was a seasoned Speech-Language Pathology Assistant—the best assistant that I could have been given the chance to work with, for a variety of reasons. Heather is a loyal employee, a self-starter, and a friendly colleague. As I was a new employee, Heather was so supportive and proved to be a vital asset to me during my time with her. Heather is innovative and creative. When tasked with creating therapy activities for close to 100 students, Heather was able to do so with relative ease and success. She found activities that could be personalized to meet each child’s individual needs and goals. This was so important as we had very limited time and many needs to meet. Her creativity allowed us to be effective with our time and therapy. Heather has an excellent work ethic. This was demonstrated again and again by her punctuality, use of time, organization, and self-motivation. Heather would independently find ways to improve, create lesson plans, create schedules, communicate with teachers and parents, and keep note of school activities and functions. Her reliability was something I came to appreciate quickly and contributed to our success as a team. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Heather as she was a huge contributor to my success as a professional and simply as a person. She cares deeply about her commitments and the success of those around her. She would prove to be an asset to any employer or company and they would be quick to recognize it.

Heather and I worked together at an elementary school in Nebo School District, providing speech and language therapy services for over 80 children. Heather is a hard-working, dedicated, and organized individual, and I am incredibly grateful to have had the opportunity to work with her. Heather is extremely hard working. I was always impressed with her initiative. For example, we were tasked with providing group lessons for four different preschool classes per week, and Heather took it upon herself to prepare the content of each lesson as well as the materials required. She prepared amazing lessons, and I was grateful not only for her sole preparation of them, but also for her initiative in preparing them without my asking. I also appreciated Heather’s dedication to her job and the students we worked with. I was new to the school, but Heather had been there for a few years previously, working with other speech-language pathologists. She was the glue between the students and me, and it was wonderful to see how well she knew each student — their personalities, their interests, their difficulties. Knowing these things about each student was not necessary for Heather to complete her job description; however, her dedication to learning about her students made her much more effective, as the students felt her care for them and were more receptive to her excellent instruction. In addition to her work ethic and dedication, Heather’s organizational skills are unparalleled. She was responsible for creating our schedule at the beginning of the year. Balancing 90 kids’ needs along with their teachers’ schedules is no easy task, but she was able to handle all communications and changes incredibly efficiently, allowing her to create a wonderful schedule for us. She also took the initiative to ensure that each child’s progress report was well-written and sent to parents in a timely manner. I could not have asked for a better assistant. I have focused on her work ethic, dedication, and organizational skills above, but I would be remiss if I did not mention her dependability, her excellent therapy skills, her desire to learn, her attention to detail, and her warm and friendly personality. I could not recommend Heather more highly.
