Heather was an exceptional colleague and thought-partner during our two years working together. She was continually focused on how our work positively impacted students and supported teachers and administrators. Heather's strengths lie in interdisciplinary thinking, collaboration, and advocacy. She contributed critical feedback during strategic planning with our department, and strives for equity in the work she does. I am available to speak with any prospective employers in order to further recommend Heather for your organization.

Heather is a talented voice over talent. She is professional, punctual, and friendly. She comes to the session prepared and delivers great reads. It's always a pleasure to work with her.

In my current position in Innovation and Digital Learning at the Evanston Public Library, I design programming, plan events, and lead workshops promoting multiple literacies from technology to the arts. I initiate new partnerships and collaborate with colleagues across departments to ensure quality experiences for our patrons from concept to completion. I also provide walk-in technology learning to library patrons of varying abilities and resources by troubleshooting when they are experiencing technological barriers to communication, or information access. I refer patrons to classes, career services, legal, and social services available in-house or with partner organizations as needed. I am an active and dedicated member of the Library's professional learning panel for Racial Equity Diversity and Inclusion. I help to assess progress, shape units of study, and facilitate staff discussions on the readings. Most importantly I sustain a welcoming environment and strive to ensure that patrons of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities feel seen, cared about, and productive. Project Director, Grow Share Belong: Art & Reading for Adults I designed and piloted an arts integrated adult literacy program, which won an Illinois Humanities action grant. Show less
