Currently a special education teacher specializing in math. I teach four different levels of mathematics: Fundamentals of Geometry, Geometry, Algebra 2, and Applied Math. The latter three are self-contained special education classes where I modify and provide direct instruction. The Fundamentals of Geometry class is a co-taught classroom, where I provide the supplemental support to the special education students in order for them to be successful in the regular education setting. In addition, I have a case load of about 18 special education students where I am responsible for writing, maintaining, and implementing their Individualized Education Plan. The students on my caseload range from students who are Intellectually Disabled, Autistic, Other Health Impairment, Emotionally Disturbed, or have a Specific Learning Disability.
