I have worked closely with Heather Darnell since the 2019-2020 school year while she has been employed as a Teacher for ACCEL Schools at Cleveland Preparatory Academy. I have been consistently impressed by both Heather’s attitude towards her work and performance on the job. Her interpersonal and communication skills have allowed her to develop strong working relationships with both the scholars and staff at Cleveland Preparatory Academy. I had the pleasure of supporting, advising and observing Heather as the 4th Grade teacher at Cleveland Preparatory Academy. I have been thoroughly impressed with how quickly she was able to effectively lead and support staff and students as both a teacher and innovator. Her strong organizational and time management skills along with her strong work ethic helps to ensure that her students’ and families educational needs are met. Mrs. Darnell is an excellent candidate and I highly recommend her for any program and any future teacher and/or leadership position that would best suite her talents.

It is with distinction that I provide a recommendation on behalf of Heather Darnell. I have witnessed her lead with a passion for education and a desire to help students exceed learning targets. Mrs. Darnell is resilient and a continuous learner. She has a keen ability to design and map curriculum, develop teacher professional development, and work one-on-one with students to differentiate and support their academic growth. Overall, I have witnessed her perseverance and ability to overcome difficult situations with candor and positivity. She will be an asset to your school community!
