Everyday that I work with Heather I'm impressed. Heather is incredibly skilled at maintaining a positive focus on the goals at hand, juggling priorities and leading her team with diligence and enthusiasm. She digs in to problems and makes smart decisions about how to resolve them; and she takes pride in her work. She also has a great sense of humor and knows how to troll her team just enough to keep them laughing and know they are appreciated. She's made my own job of driving security and compliance so much easier. Anyone lucky enough to work with her is going to be more successful than they would be without her!

I've worked with Heather for over seven years across two companies. Without a doubt, she is one of the most effective technologists and leaders I've ever met. I've watched her take on messy projects, wrangle ever shifting priorities, and still deliver all the business critical features. Somehow, she does this while being well liked across the company to boot. Heather has the technical chops and the product sense to build great Rails apps. She can easily transition from pure planning and team enablement to pushing feature code. As a peer, I've typically worked in an enabling role for Heather's teams, either as a team lead or a technical lead. She works extremely well across functions (eg: product, infrastructure, security) and is quick to build high trust working relationships. I know a Heather project is going to be a good project. Heather is at the top of my "work with again" network. If you need someone to own the engineering team(s) for your SaaS product, hire her immediately. You won't regret it.
