Serve as integral member of three-person leadership team to supervise and lead crew to provide exceptional year-round golf course and surrounding grounds conditions to satisfy and exceed expectations of high-end members and their guests. -Provide hands-on guidance and support based on varied progressive experience (since age of sixteen), which aids in fostering an environment based on hard work, leading by example, and mutual respect. -Assisted in supervision, execution, and grow in of multimillion dollar, 1.5-year Tom Fazio renovation, bringing a completely new golf course to members in 2015; led new turf grow in and Rain Bird IC system irrigation enhancements, including setting all sprinkler and nozzles to desired specifications. -Aided in oversight of multimillion dollar Bayou Restoration Project, including collaboration with outside contractors; directly supervised course revival to mend slumping areas around Bayou and restore areas on the edges of course damaged by equipment. -Presented current landscape status and potential future plans for aesthetic optimization to Club’s Beautification Committee at bi-monthly meetings to seek input and approval for property-wide landscaping projects. Collaborated with three other leaders to oversee shared budget and lead crew members across vast city-owned property spread over 2 miles. Applied extensive cultural practices to significantly enhance course conditions within one year with limited budget, staff, and resources on Lakes and Old courses. -Produced quality turf conditions across 3.5 courses with distinct variety for every level and type of golfer and high rounds of play 7 days per week. -Assisted in construction, grow in, and maintenance of a brand new three green, two bunker practice area with an additional driving range teeing area. -Drastically improved maintenance facility in-house by strategically clearing space that provided more overall square footage and adding new concrete pads and a 4-bay material storage area, which optimized safety, efficiency, and overall operations. Effectively collaborated with the superintendent on operations and budget; specifically managed irrigation repair, as well as maintenance, pesticide, and fertilizer budgets. Participated in reconstruction of numerous bunkers and tee boxes. -Delivered quality course conditions despite challenges of having a high salt index in irrigation water and persistent drought. -Oversaw course and assisted fire crews with pump station access during 7-day 2011 wildfire; cleaned debris and revived property to full playing conditions through proper monitoring and care during natural grow in. -Successfully completed greens conversion from Bentgrass to Mini Verde Bermudagrass, while increasing the size of greens by 60%. -Planned and implemented all safety meetings and procedures for golf course and grounds maintenance staff, ensuring all corporate policies were executed as directed to promote safe operations and minimize accidents and workers compensation claims.
