During the G7 I had the opportunity to work with TBR Global Chaffering as an accommodation assistant. The role was to ensure that accommodation was provided for over 300 coach drivers – 150 car drivers and +50 Onsite staff all dedicated to the G7 transportation. Assisting and facilitating young people to plan and deliver 4 social action projects. 1) Creating care packages for homeless and running a live music fundraiser for this. (Assistant) 2) Regenerating a fairy garden at a nursery facility allowing the kids to now use this garden. 3) Creating a community cookbook in aid of FareShare using recipes from the older generation and then sharing this with local community and donating profits to FareShare. (Their project came 2nd in the national social action awards 2019!). 4) Creating a memory trail around Trowbridge using music from local community to promote memory and discussion with Alzheimer’s suffers. Donating the profits from a bingo fundraiser and disco which incorporated all the songs to the Alzheimer’s Society. Show less
