I am a colleague of Hazel’s having worked within the same department as her at MSD (formerly Organon and Schering Plough) for the past 8 years. Hazel is highly task orientated scientist with a wide range of technical skills including molecular and cell biology. She has been responsible for the successful development and implementation of a variety of 96 and 384 well high throughput assays. Hazel has particular expertise in assay automation which she has applied to projects of her own and of others. Hazel has excellent organisational and time management skills and is capable of efficiently running multiple projects in parallel. Her good interpersonal and communication skills as well as willingness to work with others make Hazel is a strong team player.

Planned and conducted screening of compounds in primary or secondary assays (binding, functional, enzyme) to a high quality thereby supporting project progression. This can be for assay development & validation, HTS and assay optimisation. Previously part of target discovery gaining knowledge in molecular biology & cell biology.
