  Throughout my training through the University of Greenwich, I have experienced and worked in various departments and wards of Medway Maritime Trust, most notably in the theatre department. Through this, I have gained considerable skills and knowledge as a student nurse which will aid me when I am qualified and have helped me to become the well-organised and hard working individual I am today.

  Prior to my nurse training, I trained and worked with St John Ambulance. In my role, I was a Basic First Aid Officer at local events which involved coordinating teams, treating members of the public and liaising with the local ambulance service to handle bigger cases. My other role was as Training Officer for my local LINKS unit, where I educated and trained volunteers in Basic First Aid. It was challenging and very rewarding, requiring me to organise paperwork, lesson plans and ensure people received a quality education and improved their skills enough ready to go out on duty at events.
