  The first Australian Toys”R”Us store opened in September 1993 and there are now over 30 locations around the nation from as far north as Cairns down south to Melbourne and west to Perth. You can find a Toys”R”Us store in most capital cities. The most exciting new stores in Australia are the Babies”R”Us stores. These beautiful stores have everything expecting and new parents need for their new arrival. The dedicated and knowledgeable staff can help answer any questions about products for babies. There are currently eleven Babies”R”Us Superstores in Australia, located in Moore Park, Bankstown, Campbelltown, Castle Hill, Erina, Highpoint, Doncaster, Gepps Cross, Majura Park, Cannington and Innaloo. The Toys”R”Us story began in 1948 when the entrepreneurial 25 year old Charles Lazarus opened a baby store in Washington, DC in the United States. As his customers’ children grew up, Charles expanded his baby store into a toy store. By 1957, this single store had become a full scale toy store extravaganza and the world’s first toy supermarket had opened. The incredibly wide range of toys stocked there was a revolution in toy retailing and this has remained the trademark of Toys”R”Us Stores worldwide ever since. Continuing in the footsteps begun by Charles Lazarus, the Australian Toys”R”Us and Babies”R”Us stores are the largest and most exciting toy and baby stores in the country - providing children and their parents with a an amazing, fun world of toys and products to choose from. My role here is to provide recruitment and interviewing expertise and support, conduct performance appraisals, probationary review management and performance management, HR specialist support, general HR Support to Managers and Associates across the business and within the HR Team to ensure the business’s objectives are met and people are developed to their potential.
