I had the pleasure of working under Hayley’s management at Immediate Media. A great editor across the board, Hayley understands the magazine’s audience and market and always goes above and beyond what is expected of her. She offers help and guidance to every team member and is never afraid to pitch in and help.

Hayley is one of the most dedicated and passionate editors I've ever had the pleasure of working with. She cares deeply about the content she produces, the audience she communicates with and the team she works with. She's a skilled people manager - developing strong relationships and mentoring junior members. She's creative, commercial and collaborative. I would relish the opportunity to work with Hayley again.

I am currently working as a freelance content editor at The Content Emporium in Bristol. For this role, I am responsible for generating social media and online marketing content for several large shopping centres. My role involves liaising with marketing contacts and centre managers, and crafting engaging website articles and social media posts to promote products and offers from leading household brands. I also populate newsletters for the centres and generate performance reports. As a content editor I regularly use Wordpress and Drupal to update websites, and work with dotdigital for newsletter generation and Sprout for social media scheduling. Our workflow is organised in Trello, and so I’m very familiar with the Kanban way of organising and prioritising tasks. Show less

While furloughed from my role at Immediate Media I volunteered with Bristol-based environmental charity, Tree Aid. My work involved cutting copy to a very tight word count, ready for migration over to their new website. I also had to ensure that all posts were search engine optimised, without removing any important information about the charity's vital work promoting sustainable development across Africa. During this time I was responsible for managing a talented team of designers and editorial staff, as well as regular freelancers and contributors. I oversaw redesigns and refreshes while producing quality cover gifts and sell-out issues. Show less
