  Curtin Extra is Curtin University's official form of recognition for student development in the co-curricular space. In late 2017, I was asked to undertake a review of the Curtin Extra initiative to date and suggest developments that would keep Curtin competitive with it's peers, while achieving the Universty's vision for its students to be prepared for the future, sought after by employers, and able to make a difference globally. In 2018 I then took on the role of Curtin Extra Coordinator, managing the implementation of the new model across Curtin's campuses in Bentley, Kalgoorlie, Miri, Singapore and Mauritius. Show less

  The Curtin Leadership Centre offers leadership development training for students via online and face to face training and volunteer experience. I was involved with the centre since it's inception in 2012, first as a Training Coordinator and then as Project Officer. As a Training Coordinator I helped to research, write and develop online leadership training content to cater for students anywhere at any time, on any device. When I moved into the role of Project Officer, I was tasked with developing and delivering customer service and stakeholder relations strategies and systems (including a six-month stakeholder engagement plan).   I was a participant in the Australian Consortium for In-Country Indonesia Studies journalism professional practicum in Jakarta in 2013. The program included a two-week intensive language, culture and history course at Atma Jaya University in Jakarta and a four-week journalism internship with The Jakarta Globe. The Globe is an English language daily newspaper. I worked as a copy editor, web editor and writer, taking photographs, writing headlines and checking copy translated from Indonesian to English. In the four weeks I worked with The Globe, my feature on Indonesia-Australia foreign relations was published as a long-form, centrefold cover-story.
