Haydn’s commitment and enthusiasm to his craft is evident in his pithy teaching style. He is able to leverage his experience in project finance and his advanced knowledge of Excel to create a training environment that is both palpable and pleasant. He broke down complex, hard-to-follow spreadsheets and turned them into logical, concise ones that can be replicated and easily followed by all stakeholders in a project. Haydn is at the forefront of standardization in financial modeling and I would highly recommend his services to any organization that wants to build consistent and reliable financial models.

Samir Govind

Haydn joined us as a graduate Engineer, and quickly demonstrated a high level of ability, commitment and aptitude that enabled him to advance rapidly into the position of Senior Structural Engineer, and more recently acting as a competent job manager on a large commercial development in Christchurch (in excess of $200 million) and a medium size multi-disciplinary project. During his employment at Beca, Haydn has developed strong technical competence and demonstrated commercial acumen and more importantly a practical approach to his work. He had gone the extra mile for our business on many occasions, and as a result has enjoyed a high level of trust and respect from both clients and colleagues. Haydn has chosen to further develop his skills in the area of finance and business. We were sorry to lose him, but we fully respected his wishes to explore another career avenue, and hope that he may consider returning to consulting engineering and to Beca in the future. We would have no hesitation in commending Haydn to any prospective employer, and we wish him every success with his future endeavours. We anticipate that he will excel in whichever aspect of business or engineering he pursues.
