Station Manager
-
Sep 2012 - Sep 2013
Whilst at University, I created and managed Radio Nipper, Kingston University’s student radio station. I fundraised for equipment and encouraged student awareness of the new student radio. As Station Manager, my responsibility was to ensure the premises licences were up-to-date and correct figures sent upon request. I organised schedules and meetings and prevented possible decline in new hands. My First project was the research, setup and implementation of the radio software and hardware. This was followed by a large amount of training sessions throughout the year to show the presenters how our software worked. I designed the website, which allowed users to listen to the radio station, and installed software to keep logs of the legal data we needed. This was followed with a big improvement push. I upgraded the website to aid the advertising we started to put out. I rethought and changed the software we used to be more user friendly and easier to use, and set about an easier training process, encouraging a better community spirit within the radio peers. Event Management Intern

Oct 2011 - Jul 2012
I spent a year as an Events Management intern, my major overall achievement was creating, producing and showcasing a multimedia event at the 2012 International Youth Arts Festival. I sourced and recruited volunteers, advertised my event, and searched out professionals in the field who could advise me. I completed and submitted the various Health and Safety forms needed to perform in a public space, changing and adapting the potential risks for indoor/outdoor work. Tech Support Adviser
-
Sep 2010 - Dec 2010
As a Tech Support Adviser, I was there solely to help customers with their tech needs. With that as a priority, I was able to quickly build up a reliable rapport with our customers, using language and terminology equal to their level of technological understanding. This job allowed me to stretch my ability of being able to understand and use things easily. With ranges of new products and a wide range of different features available in existing products, I had to quickly learn what features of a given product range suited the customers needs most efficiently. Amongst supporting customers, I also had to make sure our merchandise was displayed cleanly and neatly, whilst minimising the risk of theft from high-value lines. Show less
