  In my role as Development Manager, I have three developers working under me, and it's my responsibility to plan and deliver all the necessary work that the business requires.I have implemented Agile Methodology, where we work in two-week sprints as we believe this is the sweet spot in terms of work quality and delivery. The team and I have daily stand-up calls where we discuss any work blockers we may or may not have, so I can work with the wider business to address the blockers that the team has.Very recently, I have been instrumental in designing and building a Global Portal as Gray Dawes has the desire to move into the global market. The system needs to be dynamic and country-specific, so designing a tool that works across the globe was a challenge that we feel we have now achieved.My responsibilities are predominantly:-Our bespoke profile tool (built in PHP using the Laravel Framework).-80% of all invoicing is designed and built by the development team, with an average of 1,000 transactions per day being processed through our custom-built scripts.   Starting off at focus I was employed as a test developer making sure all websites were tested before they went live, tracking bugs in jira or git hub and liasing with the developer to make sure they were fixed. I then moved up to a developer were to start with my responsibility was to build eshots email templates for the likes Taylor wimpey that were sent put using silverpop and campaign monitor. Now progressing further I am building micro sites in WordPress, using my front and backens skills. These sites are mostly optimzed for mobile using the bootstrap framework. Moving on I liase with other developers contributing to the bigger sites such as e2v and Genting Casinos. I also have a hand in server maintance setting up sites upgrading servers and general maintenance weather that would be a windows or Linux box. Show less
