  As Deputy Head of Sixth Form, I ensure that the well-being of our students are at the forefront of everything we do. I work closely with the tutors, well-being team and inclusion coordinator to support all aspects of the students’ school lives, whether it be academically or otherwise. In this exciting part of the students’ education, I advise the students on their next steps and offer extensive support for their university applications. From helping each student find a suitable course to offering constructive feedback on their personal statements to writing about them in their best light in their references, I give personalised support to each individual to ensure that they have the best chance when applying for university.Alongside the pastoral and academic care, my role also involves processing and analysing external examination data. With the help of the exams officer and data management teams, I produce succinct, clear and easy to understand data analysis enabling subject leaders to begin their own in depth investigations.

  In this role I was in charge of all aspects of Key Stage 3. I created challenging schemes of work for all students from Year 7 to Year 9, ensuring that all topics were differentiated to suit all abilities from those requiring extra scaffolding to those who needed stretching. I also wrote all unit tests and end of year exams to ensure accurate assessment of each student. The progress of each student was monitored and tracked carefully using data sheets I had set up, enabling teachers of the faculty to be well informed and aid their planning.
