I've interviewed internationally awarded writers, artists and fashion designers including Lily Cole, Alexandria Coe, Clio Peppiatt and Margrethe Odgaard. My articles and photographs have been shared by Eco-Age Magazine, Oh Comely magazine, Into The Fold magazine, and AntiBad. My signature pressed flower tattoos are popular on Pinterest & Tumblr and my blog has over 80k views. From my platform I launched a capsule clothing collection in 2016, with 50% profits to Calais Refugee Solidarity in Bristol. Show less

Helicon Magazine is an online and printed creative arts magazine run by students at Bristol University. As features editor, I commissioned and wrote articles, proofread, sourced images, managed the Wordpress website and helped to put together the printed magazine. I also helped with organising events and getting local sponsors. I initiated a weekly column [2MINUTE tease] to uncover the wealth of interesting student research going on at Bristol University. The articles challenged writers to use only 200 words to introduce their dissertation topic, for readers to learn something new in two minutes. I thrived off the creativity is essential for a tight student budget. In 2015-2016 A6 pocket zines were printed alongside a week-long festival to launch our final themed zine of the year. Show less

Epigram is the University of Bristol's independent student newspaper. A printed newspaper is produced fortnightly and the online website is updated daily. [www.epigram.org.uk] I was responsible for leading editorial and writers meetings, commissioning articles for online and print, organising photo shoots, proof reading and laying up articles. The section featured regular interviews with designers such as Hannah Weiland [Shrimps], Clio Peppiatt and Hayley Menzies. I started a regular street style feature and a film photo shoot. The street style dramatically boosted the reach and popularity of the section amongst students. I learnt to use Indesign, Wordpress and Photoshop and I also manage the section’s Facebook and Instagram pages. Show less

I learnt the critical importance of client relationships and impeccable communication skills in the workplace. Over my two week internship I observed how article ideas, photo-shoots and launch evenings are created and pitched to the press. I also meticulously collated and formatted press-cuttings and forwarded them to clients. It was a pleasure to work with clients such as Florence Knight, Polpo, Bao, Gail's Bakery and Bel-Air.
