Emergency preparedness• Redefining the norm for Tier 1 oil spill response by adoption of industry best practices and cost optimisation by collaboration and replication.• Led the first Integrated Testing and Exercise (end-to-end Tier 3 Emergency Response and Crisis Management) involving the simultaneous activation of various teams from Emergency Response, Emergency Management, Crisis Management, Business Continuity, Crisis Communications and Government Responders in Kota Kinabalu and Kuala Lumpur. The Exercise Gayang 2 is also the first exercise of this scale activated in the evening, and handed over to the consecutive day’s teams.• Conducted the PC INO Tier 3 Exercise Garuda 2 in Jakarta, Indonesia. This is a multi-team response, which for the first time involves source control team, the Global Well Contingency Response Team in an international environment.Continuous improvement• Sets up the Upstream Crisis Centre which enables fast activation of the various response teams and collaborative real time virtual presence from frontline all the way through to top management. Resource is now shared across businesses.• Review and update the Upstream Crisis Management Plan to align with the refreshed organisation and embed learning from Exercise Cirrus.• Introduced simplification and standardisation of Emergency & Crisis Management Trainers and Training syllabus.
