I was able to learn about the Food waste management program which is handled by an external company using Artificial Intelligence and data. Another key important insight was learning about Global Revenue Optimization (GRO) which is a revenue management software that operates via the Internet of Things (IoT), data, and machine learning where the software is able to change rates, set prices, understand at which time of the year what price needs to be set so revenue managers can focus on long term goals for making the sales efficient. I was able to understand how we in the hotel industry can use technology to our own benefit and make day-to-day work easier for everyone in the company. The F&B department can be hectic but every step we take towards simpler steps only makes our work easier. Show less
