( www.muddmoonac.com -www.ntgclarity.com -www.inovatian.com ) VerumCode system for preventing counterfeit products. The system consists of a QR code strategically places on products so that it can only be read or scanned with a smart phone application after the product has been purchased and opened. This QR code is unique for every item sold. Once the code is scanned by the app, it is immediately sent to our server that compares it to the QR codes in the database. Once the code is recognized, it will send back all information in its data base (entered by the manufacturer when he placed the code and cannot be changed once the product is out). The system will also return whether this code had been used before which means that the package was reused indicating potential counterfeit. If the code is unrecognized, the user will be asked to photograph the product so that operators can look into it further. However, this will be flagged as a potential counterfeit case. In all counterfeit cases, the original manufacturer will be notified and it is assumed that it is in his best interest to investigate the case. There are many good aspects to this system besides preventing coutnerfeit: 1. An opportunity for the manufacturer to market additional products that are geo-sensitive since we will have GPS information as well. 2. An opportunity for the manufacturer to connect with potential customers who want to buy his/her product but were conned into a cheaper replica. 3. All kinds of geographic statistics about the product. There are other solutions on the market but they suffer from many disadvantages, Cetilogo for example asks the user to enter a 12 digit code which could be mistakenly entered. Oher QR systems suffer from the idea that they are placed outside the product which gives the counterfeiter a chance to replicate original codes. Show less
