  United Arab Emirates Responsibilities :  Assist planned and unplanned activities related with the maintenance and development of Satellite Ground Control Equipment.  Interface with engineering team for the implementation of system upgrades to support major operations projects and major activities described in the Operational System using EMS provided by our vendor HUGHES.  Interact with the ground stations maintenance teams and industry representatives to ensure optimized performance by the ground… Show more Responsibilities :  Assist planned and unplanned activities related with the maintenance and development of Satellite Ground Control Equipment.  Interface with engineering team for the implementation of system upgrades to support major operations projects and major activities described in the Operational System using EMS provided by our vendor HUGHES.  Interact with the ground stations maintenance teams and industry representatives to ensure optimized performance by the ground stations, including participating in the definition, specification, and implementation of any changes.  Plan, design, contribute and co-ordinate for system upgrades, repairs, and evolutions with the engineering teams regarding TCS, RCP and PRMS.  Organize the validation of system upgrades, repairs, and preventive as well as corrective maintenance with the Controller Teams.  Maintaining operational ground stations databases , performed various software release upgrades. Participated in implementation of NGV and NGPGS with HUGHES for upgrade of voice and packet gateways.  Monitor, control and configure Linux based subsystems in Advance Operations Center (AOC)  Given support to departments like RF, FDS, BUS, NSS, IN and Customer Care.  Identify, follow-up, resolve and document Customer related cases for voice and packet services, which were also comprised of live testing. Participate in customer and vendor meetings as required.  Investigation into anomalies, their documentation, classification and correction/mitigation, participate in associated Anomaly Review meetings. Coordination with vendor to resolve the anomalies.  Over the past year, I've been an active participant in the weekly meetings dedicated to the highly anticipated and under-construction spacecraft, T4, for Thuraya. Responsible for Short loop and long loop Calibrations.  Maintain and operate front-end processors and IT network-associated computers, including the replacement of equipment, with on-call support from Operation and Maintenance Engineers.  Monitor and analyse satellite generated telemetry data for anomalous satellite conditions, failure diagnostics and took appropriate actions as required.
