When I was a software engineer at Bukalapak, mas Hasan was the lead of the mobile apps core team. I remembered I was careless back then. I could make major deviations from an established pattern without prior consultations or heads-up to fellow engineers and architects. Interacting with such engineer, I remembered mas Hasan as the one who’s willing to acknowledge my intention and listen. He sought to understand my point of view. In turn, he explained the possible consequences of such actions from his point of view and sought for resolution. Regardless of the outcome of these discussions, these interactions provided me with the impression of mas Hasan being a leader who’s willing to listen, while maintaining neutrality and objectivity when dealing with conflicting views.
