      The Stone Soup Academy is where the journey began for me. A wonderful AP set up in Nottingham city center. Stone Soup didn't become an AP until 2012 where I was part of the team that were one of the first in the country to secure OFSTED Outstanding grades at an Alternative Provision free School. We secured outstanding in May 2014 and outstanding again in March 2019 following the first short inspection. The Stone Soup Academy is where the journey began for me.       I have worked as a door superviser for the company my father owned. I learnt many skills in this role:Conflict management - by way of diffusing escalating conflicts between groups or two individuals using communication (Tonality, body language, movement, eye contact and much more)Teamwork in a potentially dangerous environement - Each of the team working the venue had to know where each team member was, we used radio and the rule of not leaving at least one team members line of sight at all times. I believe it is this foundation from a young age that allowed me to develop the skill of reading body language and using communication skills that allowed me to progress into the world of working with disengaged children.
