  Program Manager for setting up a number of dance workshops working towards establishing a new dance company for Aboriginal youth from Perth, Western Australia. The project will be in partnership between Australia's premier dance organisation plus that of a highly respected community organisation. It is envisaged that by setting this project up there will be role models and accredited dance instructors who can teach their skills to many of our youth; while addressing the social justice issues which many of our youth are faced with.

  As part of a fundraising activity the Community I am from in Western Australia. We as a committee organised fundraising events for our long distant journey from Perth to Canberra. The fundraising events include:- Divas night in Fremantle Hip Hop night in Fremantle Quiz night in Perth South West Aboriginal Land and Sea Council Consultative meeting. Worked as a State representative for Western Australia and also ensured the effective networking took place at all significant community engagement activities. As a Director of Blakdance Australia, also represented the State of Western Australia on the financial board of WA Ausdance. Advisor for a Dance Company which enabled the Artistic Director to be awarded a Department of Arts & Culture Award. Director - colleague with a Chairperson who I have supported to be associated with our national organisation for an Australian Dance Award.

  Hartley Williams is a Noongar man who comes from the southern region of Western Australia. Hartley commenced his training with the National Aboriginal Islander Skills Development Association College (N.A.I.S.D.A), completing a Certificate in Dance in 1993. Hartley has studied at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (W.A.A.P.A) and the London Contemporary Dance School. Hartley Williams is an all round dancer who has sound knowledge in all styles of dance, Traditional Mainland, Contemporary and Torres Strait Islander. To assist in his studies, Hartley also traveled to remote Indigenous Communities, including Ernabella (Central Australia), the Torres Strait Islands (North of Queensland Australia) and Lombadina (North of Western Australia).
