Determined & implemented use & registration strategies, filed & prosecuted new applications, maintaining existing registrations, effectuating changes in ownership, etc. - Clearance searches for use & registration of trademarks in India, USA, GCC, SAARC & African countries. - Filed & managed trademark prosecution proceedings (Application/ Opposition/ Rectification) in India. - Developed strategies with business teams for detection of counterfeit goods & initiating anti-counterfeit litigations. Conducted & participated in raids along with Court appointed Commissioners against counterfeit goods. - Issued cease & desist notices to various parties infringing ITC's IPR. - Drafted pleadings, filed, & managed multiple litigations concerning the Company's IPR before the Supreme Court & various High Courts. Worked directly with & instructed Senior Advocates. - Executed Deeds of Assignment & copyright registrations. GENERAL - Advised business teams, attended pre-trial conferences with Senior Advocates, developed trial strategies, formulated arguments, prepared demonstrative evidence, engaged in negotiation & settlement conferences with opposing parties, in relation to various litigation matters (IP, luxury tax, criminal & tortious liability, property dispute, COTPA). - Worked extensively on cases before the Supreme Court of India, Delhi High Court, Bombay High Court, Calcutta High Court, Madras High Court, & IPAB. - Drafted the integrated report for the Company in line with “The International Framework” along with Ernest & Young. - Helped the Company migrate its sustainability report from GRI-G4 to GRI Standards. - Handled matters relating to shareholders & Investor Services.
