With over 26 years experience installing, maintaining, and repairing gas turbine engines and all other marine engineering equipment, he augmented his afloat training with classroom instruction. He successfully completed a tour conducting Engineering training on theory and fundamentals to over 450 naval engineers on twelve Atlantic Fleet ships in all avenues of engineering management, while serving as an Afloat Training Group Team Leader. Meticulously planned, executed, and documented maritime engineering lectures with Microsoft Office Software that resulted in enhanced level of knowledge to Fleet Sailors on subjects such as Engineering Programs, Plant Evolutions and Causality Control. His engineering experience spans multiple maritime services, to include spearheading US Navy and Coast Guard refueling integration. When tasked with creating a process for refueling U.S. Coast Guard ships by U.S. Navy Cruisers, he designed and implemented a process that is still used to this day. The replenishment at sea was hallmarked with his ingenuity and was a success, and ultimately enabled Coast Guard ships to stay on station in hostile areas of operation while conducting critical security operations.
