  This was recruitment in its hardest form, i.e. no advertising and no database of candidates to call. Every person I placed was headhunted. During my time at this boutique Executive Search firm I enjoyed a close relationship with several 'Big 4' global clients. I was tasked with numerous challenging search assignments where the candidate pool was extremely limited and enjoyed this work immensely, to the point that I was promoted to Team Leader of six junior consultants, training them on research methodology and approach strategy, in order that our clients got the best results and returns possible from their investment in retained search. Highlights included working closely with a 'Big 3' Global cost and project management consultancy on a retained basis for two and a half years, in which time I gained a very strong understanding of the Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering and Construction Claims industry.
