Scorbit is a platform that enables people to capture and broadcast sports event statistics and media in real-time. As the sole developer of Scorbit, I developed a complete REST API backend and a prototype frontend. The API was built using Python and Flask, the statistical data being stored in PostgreSQL and broadcasted in real-time with Firebase, media being stored in Amazon S3, users being managed with Facebook's Graph API, user sessions being stored in Redis, and production environment itself being deployed in Heroku. The prototype frontend was used to facilitate statistics/media capturing and broadcasting and was developed in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and Backbone.js.

Every year, the 1st year engineering students at Queen's University participate in a design course that is implemented to facilitate the teaching of engineering design practices. As a project manager for this course, I was responsible for coordinating 3 teams of 5 students each develop a solution to a real client problem. My students were tasked with designing and building a digital service that could amalgamate the multitude of Queen's Student Wellness resources into a single entity. As a result, 3 different solutions were produced: an iOS application, a website, and a web application.

Semtech designed analog and digital mixed-signal semiconductor devices for various applications. In Ottawa, I was part of the signal integrity group, helping to develop chips to facilitate reliable data transmission over fiber at high data rates. During the first half of my internship at Semtech, I developed an internal software regression tool in Python, to ensure that code modifications were backwards compatible on a critical piece of Excel VBA code. In the latter half of my internship, I helped to functionally verify a semiconductor chip used to take data from copper and retransmit it using a laser driver over fiber.
