Covering culture in Manchester involved interviewing film and theatre directors, writing reviews and covering gigs. Notable interviews include film critic Mark Kermode, award-winning documentary maker Sean McAllister and BAFTA and Turner Prize nominee Richard Billingham, interviews I sourced myself. I reported reviews from multiple film festivals in 2019, including London, Manchester, FilmFear and Cannes, a trip I arranged and funded on my own, making contacts to secure accommodation, travel and future opportunities. It focused on punk, politics and art and gave me an opportunity to hone my writing skills and gain experience in skills such as marketing, design and selling. The first edition was published on May 30th 2017, and quickly sold out, with 2 stockists taking copies of the magazine.
