Taught a variety of college courses, i.e. Creating College Success; World Religions; Internet Marketing for Small Business; Communications subjects- Intro. to Human Comm, Interpersonal, Public Speaking, Small Group and Intercultural. Accomplishments: 2023 Teacher of the Year- Early College Programs @ Phoenix College Student Retention Strategy- Reached out to 11 students who were non-show on 1st day of classes. Were able to retain eight of them with successful course completion. 4DX Goals: There are many reasons students should meet with professors during office hours or virtually (via Zoom) including gaining access to scholarship opportunities, gathering valuable career advice, and getting a deeper understanding of class material. Based on the “4DX” concept of engagement, I developed a “15-min Huddle” strategy to encourage students to interact with outside the class during office hours. To motivate students to follow through, I offered extra points. I had a total of 22 huddles with students. Show less
