During my week of work experience with Paul Scully, I had the opportunity to learn more about the daily operations in an MPs office. A part that I enjoyed a lot was when I was given anonymised letters from constituents about real issues and drafted responses to them. On the final day of my placement, I delivered a presentation regarding antisocial behaviour to Paul Scully MP, Cllr Tom Drummond, and Cllr James McDermott-Hill. This gave me the chance to further improve my communication and debating skills. Completing a work experience placement in an MP's office has taught me that an MP's role is not just limited to debating in the House of Commons; in fact they have a whole team at their constituency office which deals with constituent's issues. I thoroughly enjoyed my week here - it gave me an insight into politics that you can't get anywhere else. Show less

I had the opportunity to take part in Fantasy Wings whose goal is to give Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic people and Women a platform to enter and excel in the Aviation industry or become commercial airline pilots through expert-led workshops, conferences, mentoring and real flight training. I was awarded a trial flight and had the chance to network with people in the aviation industry.
