  As an employee of Munoz Engineering, LLC, I was assigned as a Senior Mechanical Cost Engineer for the Construction Management Joint Venture (URS/Malcolm Pirnie) for Croton Water Treatment Plant construction, rehabilitation of the Jerome Park Reservoir, and other off-site facilities in the Bronx, NY. This $2.3 billion base contract project owned by NYC Department of Environmental Protection is NYC’s first drinking water treatment plant, and the largest single contract for a city owned project in New York’s history. Acting on behalf of New York City Department of Environmental Protection (NYCDEP), Bureau of Engineering, Design & Construction (BEDC), I was responsible for the processing, negotiation and final approval of mechanical change orders (plumbing, HVAC and fire protection) including independent takeoff and reconciliation with the Engineer’s Estimate and justification of final costs for the owner .
