Toastie is a well established trader that works the biggest festivals in the UK, such as Glastonbury, Boomtown and Bestival among many others. it offers a fast paced environment where my role is to take orders from customers before ensuring that they are distributed efficiently, as well as keeping the fridges stocked with cold drinks and ingredients whilst keeping the van clean. Since starting university I have taken a casual role at the Black Horse as a bartender during the holidays, and I continue to pick up shifts and help out when needed. I enjoy socialising with locals and new customers alike and have developed my organisational skills during busy times and events. Teaching Assistant
-
Sep 2020 - Jul 2021
I spent my industrial placement as a teaching assistant at Simon Balle All-through School. This role required me to be highly adaptive during the peak of the COVID pandemic. I worked in Geography, English and History classrooms, aided in the creation and editing of the new school website and was part of the COVID testing team that ensured the safe re-introduction of students. I also took part in organising staff football when it was safe to do so. I spent my industrial placement as a teaching assistant at Simon Balle All-through School.
