Aug 2018 - Jul 2020
– Nominated by the Head of Design for ‘Top Dog’ award, recognising an individual’s success within the company. Noted that my ‘hard work and diligence helps provide valuable support to the rest of the team’. – Was the representative for the design team during the redundancy process. Ensured I raised the team’s concerns & questions and that these were adequately answered. Was the go-between HR director and the design team, note-taking in meetings, staying level headed and understanding to all those involved. – The sole designer of all lightweight scarves (designing up to 30 scarves per season) and homeware (up to 40 options across mugs, candles, tea towels, cushions, ceramics and seasonal decorations). – Designed prints for accessories, children’s, women’s, and menswear. – Multiple of my designs achieved top 10 best-selling prints. My boy’s nightwear print was the best-selling in range history. – Designed childrenswear for both girls and boys including all over prints, graphic tee placements, and co-ordinating ranges. – Coordinated and distributed colour palettes & colour standards, using the Pantone system, across 8 stories per season to the buying/design teams as well as all suppliers. Researched new trends & catwalk shows for upcoming seasons, creating trend packs to be used by Senior Directors. I conceptualised print stories for each season. – Worked with vintage and brought samples, putting these into repeats and colour separated for screens. I compiled and sent out tech packs to suppliers. Show less

May 2017 - Aug 2018
– Created digital prints, screen prints and embroideries for women’s fashion. Designing prints reacting to catwalk trends and colours for the European and US markets. – The role involved hand drawing design and painting, alongside digital drawings and advanced use of Photoshop. – Designed embroideries & organised for these to be sent off for production, communicating directions to the supplier. – I mentored all the design work experience students in designing, sewing and styling garments and managing their workload. I also provided them with training and inductions into the company, ensuring both Tom Cody and the student capitalised from the experience. Requiring people management and for me to delegate tasks confidently and on top of balancing my workload. Show less
