I joined the East Midlands University Air Squadron (EMUAS) in my first year of University, where I stayed for 2 years. I was invited back for my final year after returning from placement, which is only given to students who have previously done a lot for the Squadron.Whilst on the Squadron, I participated in parades on special days; volunteered at airshows; attended debating nights every week; learnt to fly a Grob Tutor; went on several training expeditions (Including sailing on a leg from New York to Boston) and was also given the role of Social Secretary (to name but a few).During the role of Social Secretary, I had the task of organising weekly socials and helped to plan and prepare for larger events, such as balls and formal dinners.

Junior Designer

Jul 2013 - Jul 2014
The role was applied for and undertaken as a placement year as part of my University education.During my time at Smallfry, I worked on an extensive range of products where I had the opportunity to input at different stages of the development process. Primarily, tasks were at the front end; research, conceptualisation and product visualisation (hand sketches, Photoshop & Illustrator Visuals). In addition I also had the opportunity to develop many of these concepts in CAD (Solid Works), where they were developed for rapid prototyping & manufacture.Physical model making was also often key in product development and initial testing.
