My Internship at Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue challenged me to build on my organisational, communication and data management skills. I am particularly proud of my role in internal policy auditing and writing where I used skills from my Sociology degree to ensure accurate and comprehensive documentation. • Digitising and auditing Fire Safety Investigation Reports to ensure GDPR compliance. • Working with highly sensitive information meaning that discretion and care was imperative. • Updating Technical Guidance Notes (TGN's) to provide clear procedure for the organisation. • Creating in-depth TGN flow charts allowing accessibility for colour-blind users and users of screen readers. • Responsible for contacting and liaising with internal and external connections to find fast and creative solutions for PPE stock storage, management and delivery during the COVID-19 pandemic. • Creating strategic risk management matrices on Excel for team roles to ensure resilience of the Force. • Creating personalised roadmaps for the newly formed team to ensure career projection both individually and collectively. • Produced and delivered training on proper use of IT security protocols to ensure compliance. • Using a variety of MS Office programmes.
