Bio
Jake Wiafe
Harold has been by far one of the most pivotal figures in my career growth so far. I had the pleasure of working with Harold during his time as one of my managers within the Network team, and I believe that his dedication, open communication, organization, and unique ability to inspire the best out of anyone he works with, make him a valuable colleague. During my time being managed by Harold, what struck me most was the amount of care he took in understanding and effectively utilizing both my personality and the way I worked without being intrusive or annoying. His emotional intelligence and managerial nous were key to creating a safe and open working environment, and they are key factors that have shaped how I approach my own management and leadership responsibilities. His dedication to mental health and wellbeing was often pivotal in helping me overcome difficult moments in my career and personal life. These were aspects that made him an overwhelmingly positive force within the office, as well as his friendliness, openness, musical talent, and ability to inspire me to push myself and have faith in my own ability, and these are aspects of our working relationship that I will always treasure. Whatever role Harold finds himself in, I have no doubt that he will always be a vital, positive, and popular member of the team.

Harold has been an absolute pleasure to work with during the past five years at Little Dot, and has positively touched departments across the business, from education to arts, podcasts to sport to publishing to our owned and operated network. Harold always brings care, attention and humour to his work, with a thorough understanding of how content works on different platforms. I’m addition, Harold has been pivotal in Little Dot’s sustained approach to improving mental health amongst our staff, and helping drive initiatives including our Mental Health First Aid team.

Short Form Channel Manager
-
Sep 2013 - Jul 2016
As Short Form Channel Manager for All 4 my responsibility has been to optimize the development of our All 4 Online proposition for a digital audience. In order to best manage our digital channels both on All4.com and on other third party platforms like Youtube and Facebook, I've developed my expertise in digital content consumption and social habits. I've helped to define the role All 4 has in the digital content landscape as a broadcaster, regularly presenting my findings to the All 4 Commissioning team and fleshing out their excellent ideas. More recently I defined a strategic roadmap for the third party platform syndication of our Shorts strand of content with the long term aim of reaching new or lapsed audiences on the platforms where they spend their digital lives, and converting them into active consumers of All 4's content.

Researcher

Aug 2007 - Oct 2007
I researched a total of 7 of the world's most significant architectural achievements for a series of pull outs across a week. These ranged from Le Corbusier's Ronchamp to Frank Lloyd Wright's Falling Water via the empire State Building. I discovered a wide range of stories and insights into the buildings, wrote some of them up and gave others to the writers.
