RED Project Borneo is a student-led initiative with the aim of bringing about sustainable educational development to rural communities in Borneo through construction of education centres.• Planning the construction of a 6m x 9m kindergarten in rural Sabah to be completed within 5 weeks; this includes site surveying, concrete pouring and mixing, roof truss assembly, and steel wall frame and panel installation• Currently streamlining the construction process and revising design of the kindergarten to adapt to local site conditions• Participated in fundraising activities to offset the cost of the project

The Young Structural Engineering International Design Competition tasked teams to design a habitat for a community living in a coastal region of a Least Developed Country (LDC) that is at risk of flooding and rising sea levels. • Led a team of 3 to design a settlement in Myanmar of 100 persons at risk of coastal inundation due to climate change • Designed cyclone-resistant dwellings and aquaponics farms to be amphibious with sustainable methods such as by utilising used shipping containers and bamboo• Produced conceptual models and posters which illustrates the design of the settlement including a step-by-step construction process of the buildings, connection details, phases of development and layout of the settlement• Conducted design calculations for structural elements and performed cost analysis of the project through self-learning under a deadline
