  In “Public Procurement Regulatory Authority” (PPRA), I was involved in keeping a check on compliance of tenders with “Public Procurement Rules, 2004” for all the ministries, attached departments, companies and autonomous bodies of federal government. I was also a resource person for the fortnightly workshop of National Institute of Procurement (NIP), which is an integral part of PPRA, where I gave presentations on Procurement and IT related topics to Government officers of grade 17-21. In addition to those I also manage the Server/Workstations/Network/Website. I was responsible for the tender receiving and after following the office procedures related to IT section, uploading them on the website. I was solely responsible for IT Equipment procurement and management. I made an online template through which all Federal Ministries/Institutions could enter their tender advertisement online. I also established the local Internal Domain, configured ISA (ISA 2000 Server) and Exchange (Exchange Server 2000) for PPRA, implemented Network security through proxy server. I was also responsible for all the security of data by applying firewalls (Software level) and taking backup on external media such as DLT drives. Also configured live IP address for the website http://www.ppra.gov.pk, registered its DNS entry on PKNIK to run it on the Internet through local web hosting at PPRA’s local Server. Show less
