Hari worked very closely with me during his internship with Adnear on Mobile App Ranking system that we built from scratch. Besides being my first successful hire, through the unconventional take-home-assignment (Thank you Daniel Tunkelang, again! ) - and discussion thereof, what excites me about Hari's candidature is, One, His abilty to quickly put himself in "your" mindset, hence making the most of a mentor's time, and two, Ownership. During his short two month stay here, we did a whole lot of literature reviews for the core problem we wanted to solve, redefined designed & implementation, picking that works and discarding that doesn't, and continually building hypothesis driven data products. When Performance alone was not enough, we kept nudging on getting more meat from the scale & speed - at all times, learning and iterating based on proof of concept, thus failing cheap. More importantly, I have learnt a lot from him, compared to what I could possibly teach him. I wish him all the best and look forward to him joining on board soon !
